I've had my wife in and out of the hospital. She started with insomnia and urinary tract infection. Frequent urination had us in and out of the ER and each time they told her to come back if it didn't clear up. She started to complain about pains in her abdomen that she said radiated up to her head. Morphine was administered at the ER and still she couldn't get relief. Twice now they have admitted and ran test after test. Every type of blood and urinalysis, tb, heavy metals, cat scans, sonagrams of pelvic, gallblader, colonoscopy, endoscopy, mri of the brain, sonogram of heart and arteries.
She's gone into a depressed state and so far no luck with meds prescribed to get her mental condition back. She sleeps 1-2 hours a night.

Anyone got any clues. It's been over 60 days and I'm at my wits end.

  • Check for toxins in the liver as well astoxins in the home which might lead to these symptoms. i.e emitting gases in the home such as methane gas, radon or even mold. Write down everything she does during the day or where she is. These are just my observations. Good luck. Keep the faith!

  • Normal tests, insomnia, bladder pain with no obvious cause...could be fibromyalgia. Falling asleep/staying asleep is the biggest problem and since fibro affects the sheathing of the muscles, pain can occur just about anywhere and everywhere. For several years I was treated for UTIs and later found that the bladder pain is a pretty common complaint with fibro. Pain "migrates" and flareups feel like the flu. Find a doctor familiar with this condition and don't let them tell you it's a wastebasket diagnosis. It usually takes patience to find the best med or combo to help.

  • Scan of kidneys? Thyroid checked? What is her weight doing? Wow...that one is really leaving me blinking. Sounds scary and debilitating, wish I had more to offer.Honestly, consider having her checked out by a traditional Chinese accupuncturist. I would not generally start there, but if you aren't getting anywhere with regular docs, don't limit yourself to regular Western style meds. Two months with no relief shows they aren't getting there. Time to start looking at alternative stuff, while the regular docs continue trying to figure it out. I mean, you don't need to dump the regular docs, (though you might try looking for a different set) but start looking at alternative docs, too.I hope something gets figured out really soon. Shula

  • does she have a history of clotting when she has her period? It actually sounds like endometriosis/adenomyosis (the migrating abdominal pain) with interstitial cystitis (endo on bladder). The hormonal imbalance (estrogen dominance) would cause the insomnia. Endo symptoms when severe can occur thru-out the month. Endo is not picked up by conventional testing. Visit a gynecologist if you suspect this might be it. If you really think this might be it, vist endo101.com, erc.org and visit the forums.

  • Fibro has been linked to Lyme Disease and its co infections. Lyme has migrating pains and affects the female area as well. Lyme may have affected her thyroid as well. A western Blot test is the bettter of all tests. Meds don't work on fibro and Lyme. She needs some sleep in order to heal some what. She needs strong abx and lots of vit C. Do some searches, lymenet.org is a great place to start. good luck.

  • Please do not listen to anything Shula or Acuann tell you. My sister just passed away because Shula and Acuann told her that her doctor was wrong and she did not have a serious condition. Acuann even told her to get acupuncture to get healed. These people are going to be investigated for practicing medicine without a license. Shula and Acuann are specifically wanted in connection with my sisters homocide. Thats right homocide. If she would have listened to her doctor instead of these internet quacks she would still be here today. Rest assured I will do everything in my power to put these two behind bars and shut this website down for good.
