Hello there people, about a week or so ago, I found a pocket knife that had been lost in the couch for several months. Later that day, I accidently poked my left thumb on the top side at the first knuckle closest to the hand. It was just a tiny poke maybe 1/8th by 1/8th inch in and it didn't even bleed more than just a little dribble. It has been sore at that joint and the surrounding area since. Since this morning my thumb is noticably swollen and it hurts to move it in the slightest. I think that I may have used it too much working last night. It appeared to be less swollen and less painful up untill this morning. My wife went to get me a brace and some stronger meds from the store for the swelling and pain. Is there anything very serious that this could be. No insurance, or much money, but will go to the doctor if there could be something seriously wrong that I don't know about. Can anybody help?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
