I have been to the md more than once and I can't seem to get anyone to listen. I will list my symtoms and maybe you all could at lest give my some sugestions to be tested for. I am female 26 and all my hormone labs came out normal.

Facial and body hair
Stopped period
excess wt gain and loss, in the 100's of lbs. Now just wt gain for last 2 yrs.
sweating all the time
kidney stones on and off since I was 16yrs
Fat build up just above buttock. "Fat hump"
Swelling in hands
Muscle knots in arms, legs, and collarbone area. Can get as big a softball
Depression and anxiety
acne
Skin tags around neck, underarms, and random other places
high blood pressure, on and off.
Pain that feels like its in my bones, usually occurs in legs. Very strange
Extreme sensitivity to touch "poking" all over body but especially on lower back.

I think these are all or most of my symptoms. Please if you have any suggestions I am happy to listen!!!

Thanx everyone!

I had several of your symptoms and was diagnosed with Hoshimoto's Thyroiditis, aslo referred to as autoimmune hypothyroidism. It's perfectly treatable with thyroid replacement hormone and prednisone.

  • You may have a couple of different things going on. The first thing which stood out to me was your skin tags around your neck and underarms, excess hair, weight gain and missed periods which had me thinking of polycystic ovulation syndrome (PCOS is an issue which is quite common.. 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 females. Highest cause of infertility). What are the symptoms of PCOS? The symptoms of PCOS can vary from woman to woman. Some of the symptoms of PCOS include:Infertility (not able to get pregnant) because of not ovulating. In fact, PCOS is the most common cause of female infertility.Infrequent, absent, and/or irregular menstrual periodsHirsutism (HER-suh-tiz-um) — increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toesCysts on the ovariesAcne, oily skin, or dandruffWeight gain or obesity, usually with extra weight around the waistMale-pattern baldness or thinning hairPatches of skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs that are thick and dark brown or blackSkin tags — excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck areaPelvic painAnxiety or depressionSleep apnea — when breathing stops for short periods of time while asleepThe above was from http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/polycystic-ovary-syndrome.cfm i myself have PCOS and my hormonal lab tests came back in the normal lab ranges. i got my doctor to refer me to someone more knowable in female hormones and hence took my lab tests to a specialist and got told that thou the hormones were within the lab ranges for each hormone, hence lab said it was normal.. the hormonal RATIO was abnormal (when comparing a hormone to another hormone) and from this and my symtoms she suspected i had PCOS so send me to have an ultrasound on my ovaries to help confirm it. My ultrasound confirmed it she was right... i do have polycystic ovaries. i strongly suggest you to get your doctor to refer you to a someone who specialises in hormones, (most doctors arent at all knowable in this area and dont know enough to compare hormone ratios) or to send you for an ultrasound on your ovaries. i think PCOS thou isnt your only issue (if the problem is that) as you have more symptoms than just that but just a likely issue of being one of the problems you have (PCOS can appear with other issues)......................... Another thing which can cause missed or no periods, body hair, high blood pressure, weight gain, depression and other symptoms is Cushing's disease (high cortisol). http://endocrine.niddk.nih.gov/pubs/cushings/cushings.htm i suggest to be tested for that too (along with having thyriod tests as the other poster suggested)
