One day I woke up and looked like a pumkin head. My face is SO swollen and it doesn't go down.
I also look pregnant and have gained 25 pounds in the last few months even though I'm active.

My doc did a dex test and 8am blood draw and my cortisol was 0.2 which is normal I guess.

Now he is ordering a 24 hour test?

Anyone have any ideas?

  • Sounds like it could be an adrenal issue, the 24hr urine collection is the test for this. My cortisol was not so much a problem as the other adrenal hormones (aldosterone etc).

  • Get blood tested for thryoid...very common (especially among women but not uncommon in men) and easy to check: Ft4, FT3 TSH and the antibodies for Hashimotos and Graves Disease.
