My nephew has been acting strange since Christmas. He is five years old but he seems to have a bad habit of repeatedly grunting, sighing or clearing his throat and just recently he has started twitching his neck and fidgetting with his shoulder. Otherwise he is feeling just fine. Would this be an early form of tourettes syndrome?

  • He should see a pediatric neurologist. If it is Tourette's, he can start treatment. It would be unfortunate if it started to effect his interaction with other kids, etc.
