She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The doctor said that it is "smouldering" as in "inactive". However, she has had to have blood transfusions monthly and now more and more frequently. She just had one last week and now has to have another tommow because her hemoglobin is dropping so low. Her doctors can not figure out what the heck is going on or where the blood is going. Has anyone here ever experienced this before? I need some answers quick because it is not looking good for her.

  • I can only guess, but a friend of mine nearly died whene she was unaware that fibroids in her uterus were harboring nearly all of the blood in her body. She had to have a blood transfusion and an embolisation of the fibroids to cut off their supply to blood flow. Have them give her a GYN exam also.
