I myself have severe kidney pain! It started a little over 4 yrs ago a doctor cut my ureter in surgery and didn't say anything, 2 and a half wks later I should of been dead, Thank god half during for my brother who carried me into the doctor’s office and said look at her she is dying. By the way the doctor knew how sick i was My brother had called him daily and all he did was call in more medicine. I was admitted to the hospital after test was run they discovered my insides had filled with urine and i was lucky to be alive. They placed a nephrostomy tube in my right kidney, i had that in for 8 mths had 9 surgeries that followed, I had nurses taking care of me at home. I started getting infection one right after the other every 2-2 .1/2 wks they put me on cipro. This went on for 2 yrs straight I, kid u not. my urologist apologized to me saying they should of had me on a preventative antibiotic, so they did i took this antibiotic for 2 yrs straight and yes I did continue to get sick just not as often so they would add an additional antibiotic.. i have been off my antibiotic for about 3 mths and now I’m having all kinds of problems, gerd, ulcer and bad pain up under my right rib cage. ok I live with the constant pain in my kidney but if feels as if the pain is spreading up under my rib cage, Now when i had my nephrostomy in i had it back up on me a few times and this is what it felt like but the pain was way more intense to point where i couldn’t breath and now that I’m writing this i do have problems breathing at times (crazy how when you put it in writing it makes sense..lol) So yesterday I go get a ultrasound done and the tech said it looks flat, What does this mean? Anyone know? Now I’m thinking they may have to take that right kidney out. I didn’t mention I have urine reflex so the urine shoots back up in the kidney and this is also painful. Very painful so I live with this pain all the time I take nothing for it I have learned to tolerate it .Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
