Hi, please excuse the long thread & thanks in advance for any suggestions. I am a 40 year old male who has no history of illness. I have a career that has taken me frequently to Asia, even living in India for a year. Because of my travel history my doctors are not sure if my symptoms autoimmune related or something tropical I could have picked up in Asia. I have had all basic blood work, std, chest xray and head ct scan. I have seen a Tropical disease specialist and a neurologist, without any diagnosis. MS has been ruled out but I will be receiving an MRI to validate. I have no fever, no chills and no sweats.
- Intense sore muscle feeling starting in right leg and progressing upward to groin area, where right side of groin is particularly painful/sensitive (even the skin). Slight feeling of "pins and needles" or "coldness" in my arms.
- Groin Lymph node sensitivity as well as heat felt from the right Lymph nodes.
- Immediate reduction in mental awareness and a feeling of “fogginess” felt throughout the duration of the illness.
- Extreme fatigue, weakness and lack of energy is associated with the symptoms as well. Sometimes feeling faint and unable to even drive a vehicle at times.
I have had four attacks each lasting 2-3 weeks over the last three years. The symptoms come on very quick and have also dissipated quickly. This attack seems to be the worst and my symptoms are still as severe a month in. I am worried there is no end in sight and still no diagnosis.
