My dad has Dibeites and has had 5 bypass on his heart lost his leg and several other problems gawl(sp?) stones but before the stones thing he had been coughing when ever he eats sometimes really hard to where it appears he might throw up. He dosent appear to really be choking but it seams to happen every time he eats and it is starting to worry me not to mention it is very anoying. He doenst eat fast or slow and he seams to chew his food farley well. I have been told that posibly a speach therapist might help but he wont believe that unless I am armed with the reasoning why speach theropy has something to do with his eating and coughing, he is 87 years old and been though alot in the last 5 years but this is really something that is bothering all of us. Can you help arm me with the information that might get him the test he needs to stop this coughing. He is a non smoker, non drinker, but heart surgery, diebetas, gawlbladder, caratted artrey surgery all of which seem to be under control now. He takes a lot of medician now but please help me.
