Since last Wednesday I've have had these shortness of breath issues. It feels like I'm not getting a full breath of air. When I try to take a deep breath, it falls short. I have to yawn to get that sensation and that doesn't work every time. I went to UrgentCare last Thursday and the doctor listened to my back and chest while I inhaled and exhaled, measured my oxygen intake, and said that my issues aren't pulmonary (sp?). He said it may be indigestion and gave me some samples of Prilosec to try. The thing is, I don't have heartburn. It sort of feels like I may have gas but mostly it's breathing.
It is worse later in the day, after I eat, or when I try to lay down or am leaning far back on a sofa.
I'm going back to the doctor's tomorrow after work but I don't think it's GERD or heartburn and I'm afraid that's what he's trying to diagnose it as. I don't feel tired or exhausted, I just can't breathe! It's so frustrating. Please help.
