I am a 59 year old woman. I have been taking prescription medications for many years. For depression/anxiety, stomach acids, thyroid, hormones, and sleep disorders and 800mg Ibuphrophen for pain.
I have a constant foul order in my vagina and its very offensive.
I didn't realize how badly I smelled until yesterday when my daughter trimmed my hair. She said "Mother, you have a horrible smell to your body. Your perfumes used to turn sweet on you and now they smell awful. You have a very sour odor like dill pickles and you smell old! " In my vagina I have to insert a capsule of boric acid to erase the order temporarily so my husband can stand to make love to me and I have to shower constantly to feel clean.
What is causing this? My doctor doesn't seem to care enough to really dig down and investigate this problem and shrugs it off as normal. Its not normal and I want to be free of the embarrassment. What do I do??? Help!

  • First and foremost, I am sorry for this situation for you. It can be embarrassing and make one self conscious. I will say this, don't worry about anything except what is causing the problem. I would try seeing a different doctor, possibly and internal medicine physician. It sounds as if it could be in your diet or you may have an abundance of yeast in your body. Do check with another doctor if you aren't getting the response you need from the current. As well, it would be useful to speak with a nutritionist about your problem. I wouldn't use any colognes at this time to mask odor; it could blend with the acids in the sweat and cause more of an odor. It maybe good in the meantime to bathe in baking soda solution in the tub or vinegar solution in the bath water. It sounds a bit strange but it will help to balance the ph in your skin which can counteract the smell for the meantime. Please do visit with a physician though, you do need to solve this problem to help you feel better. Good luck to you and may God bless you.
