  • I have found a few things that might be interesting to you. I am not suggesting that your child might have any of these, but they are a few problems that lead to they eyes not closing.Lyme's disease causes eyesight abnormalities. This would be caused from a tick biting the person. In Bell's Palsy is a paralysis of cranial nerve, often the eye in the affected side cannot be closed. The eye must be protected from drying up, or the cornea may be permanently damaged resulting in impaired vision. Also, a brain tumor can cause some of the same symptoms.Has the child had any head injuries lately?Either way, you should have them checked by a doctor.
