I'm not sure what is happening to me... The muscle on the right side of my upper back has practically disappeared. There is a very noticeable difference between the right and left sides of my back. I do not have any noticeable muscle weakness. I have been to a chiropractor because there has been some pain in my right shoulder, around the shoulder blade. I have a very slight curve in my thoracic spine, and the chiropractor thinks that may be what is causing the pain I am afraid this might be muscular dystropy. I have looked up the different types online and Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy fits my symptoms somewhat. Is anyone here familiar with that disease?? Also, my right pectoralis major seems somewhat diminished compared to my left... The chiropractor says my back be misaligned can cause the muscle to do weird things, but I think its odd that my chest muscle is also looking diminished. Sometimes the pain in my upper back (on the right side where the muscle looks like its gone) gets pretty bad... I'm so worried that its muscular dystrophy...

  • Ok, so i got my results and my cpk levels were 63, relatively low on the normal range i was given (57-300). My shoulder still hurts were the muscle wasting occured and now i have no idea what it could be since muscular dystrophy shouldn't have showed cpk levels that low, even if it was FSH dystrophy. My upper arm on the same side is also showing some loss in circumference. I have no idea what this could be...is there any benign cause that will go away on its own??

  • I dunno about Lyme's disease. The muscle wasting is just focused on my shoulder, back and a little bit of my upper arm on the same side. I don't really feel sick, it just hurts. I found something about subscapular nerve entrapment...it can cause pain and muscle wasting that matches mine. Does anyone know anything about that?
