I'm Alex, I'm 17 and have been having problems with my muscles for 9 months now, it's a tightness that has occurred almost simotaniously and there is no reason for it. For the penis being a muscle, it has tightened also, and has gotten worse as time has gone by. It's becoming more and more difficult to urinate and I believe I soon won't be able to. the doctor doesn't know what's wrong, I'm scheduled for a reumatologist visit in 4 months. But by the time they get around to me I might have lost my bladders. I don't know what to do, and apparently I am not of priority to them but I would like to live a little longer. Can any one please help.

  • Call the Rheumatologist's office back and explain that you need to be fit in as soon as possible and that you will call every day to ask if they've had a cancellation. They will find a time to fit you in sooner. You have to be willing to drop everything when they call and go though. If it gets worse before you can be seen, go to the ER. The hospitals here in NYC at least then have a patient advocate who will do the begging for you and will get you an appointment within a day. I don't know if they do this elsewhere or not. Some insurance companies have patient advocates too- call yours and ask.
