Muscle Pain Fever Headache

Over the past 5 days I have had something wrong. It started with a headache and a low fever 5 days ago. Thankfully the headache subsided, and I got to see my GP yesterday. He said it looked like a virus, and should be better in a couple of days. Since then, however, I have developed some pretty good muscle pain in my forearms, upper arms, calves, thighs, and jaw. It feels like the 2nd day after a pretty good workout. I don't have that soreness in my chest or abs. No breathing problems, chest pain, cough, abdominal pain.

Fever still hovering around 100.3, and a little swelling in my right hand between my finger and thumb.

I just asked for a callback from my on-call doc, to see if I should be seen today or if this is normal when you body is fighting a virus.

I would consider any thoughts.
