I have always been fairly well and not one to complain, however, for the past 3 weeks I have been suffering from unexplained, severe muscle and joint pain that moves from one place to another. It started with moderate pain in my right arm, then went to severe pain in my left arm such that I couldn't raise my arm. Then it suddenly went to my lower back and hips to the point where I could barely walk. My dr thinks it may be a viral infection. She put me on steriods for a week. I was completely pain free during that time, but it came right back the day after the prescription ran out. Now my right hip and thigh are hurting pretty badly, but only when I stand on that side. I am on a different kind of steriods (Prednisone), but the pain is still there. The dr says that is isn't time for xrays or scanning yet. I think it is time for a new dr! Has anyone ever heard of this? I can't imagine what it might be! Thanks!
