muscle numbness and weakness

Has anyone had any of these symptoms? I have been undiagnosed for a very long time.

When I was 17, I started to notice the muscles on the outer parts of my legs going numb as I moved, and as they were going numb, I would lose the ability to control them. After resting, I the numbness would subside and I would regain mobility. Over time, this has progressed to the upper portion of my legs, and due to lack of excersize, I have muscle atrophy. It is difficult to walk long distances, and I can no longer walk upstairs.

No Dr has been able to diagnose me and every test comes out negative. They know it is a nerve problem, and the closest thing they can attribute is SMA adult onset, but again, that came negative.
