My 4 yr old daughter got nits for the first time a few weeks ago. I treated her and myself and my husband and we found I also had a few. My husband didn't find any although he was a little itchy before treatment. We seemed to have got rid of them.
One afternoon about a week later we were all playing outside and found later that my baby daughter got bitten by mossies or sandflies on her head. She's alergic to mossies. Since then, I have been really itchy on and off on my head. I didn't know if the lice were back or if I got bitten by sandflies. We can't see any bites on my head, but have seen lots of white nit shells. But I can't see it being lice as for weeks now, I have been itchy and no one else I have close contact with; husband, 2 kids, are itchy or have signs of lice.
