I am new to this forum - found it through searching for the Discovery Channel "Mystery Diagnosis." Thank you friends for having this forum. Blessings to all.

My husband has been having health deterioration and after a battery of tests there is NO ONE that can tell us what is going on...

He is only 50 yo with a history of heart attack at 39 yo with excellent recovery and no noticeable residual nor problems with minimal follow-up.
I have faith that someone would come up with some brainstorming, Divine Enlightment so that we can find out what is going on, so he can be treated. Thank you very much for any light you send our way :)

History and Symptoms:
MI 1998 at age 39

February 2007 developed rash on chest size of a quarter with concentric circles.

February 2007 developed lesion on left arm - M.A.L.T. lymphoma - 20 Radiation tx

End 2007 / beginning 2008 ----- Right Testicular discomfort

End 2007 / beginning 2008 ----- deep jaw discomfort.

June 2008 Bilateral inguinal hernia repair.

During 2008 Mental disconnect between hearing words and associated thought process

February / March 2009 rapid Right ear spasms. Swishing sound in head upon awakening

April 11, 2009 tick bite right leg

May/June 2009 sudden noticeable loss of hearing

May/June 2009 First root canal.

Early July 2009 developed tinnitus in right ear.
Tinnitus appears to run in 3 day cycles with the tinnitus going away for 4 to 24 hours each third day. While tinnitus is there, it is often accompanied by a feeling of pressure in my head. Blurred vision, flushed appearance, and sometimes petichiae.

August 2009 MRI of Back = spinal stenosis, disc degeneration, cysts on spine.

August 2009 appointment with oncology. Panoramic mandible X-ray done. PET Scan, and Cancer markers all negative.

August/September more or less Colonoscopy, and visit with urologist basically un-remarkable. Some pre polyp something or other in colon. With dietary instructions.

August 2009 Cortisone injection spine.

August through October 5 additional root canals related to tooth sensitivity

September 2009, MRI of internal auditory canals and of whole head= auditory canals good, but, 4mm pituitary adenoma diagnosed.

September/October 2009 all hormone type tests measuring pituitary function within normal limits.

September 2009 began to notice palpitations with a quadgeminal like pattern. These continue with an inconsistent regularity during periods of rest.

Middle to End of October, SEVERE, DEBILITATING pain of left hip.

November 3rd 2009 Non-hemorrhagic Right Sided CVA affecting speech, and swallowing ability. Left sided weakness.

November 2009 trigger point injection cortisone into left hip.

November 2009 Carotid Artery Duplex = Clean; CAT Angiogram= CVA with clean, non-obstructive circulation; EEG= no seizure like abnormal brain activity.

November 2009 Transthorasic Echocardiogram= atrial septal defect.

January 2010 Right ear developed some type of psudo Eustachian Tube Disfunction. This disfunction, like the tinnitus ran in 3 day cycles. I was unable to maintain a comfortable pressure in right ear. Nasal Endoscopy done, and Myringotomy tube placed in right ear end of January = increased discomfort and symptoms.
Myringotomy tube removed February 16.

CAT of Ear canal, and 2.5” radius around ear done Feb 23= Clean and clear. Completely unremarkable.

March 1, 2010 tested for Lyme Disease by testing for Borrelia Burgdorferi Antibody= 32 with reactive seroconversion > 160

March 3, 2010 slip and fall

Thank you again for your attention... Please feel free to give us your light...

  • Wow that is just a long line of problems. I feel for him to a great deal. I started looking just at the inital rash to see what I could come up with. Cause it seems as if everything linked from that as the beginning factor. I am by no means a doctor but as he been checked for fungal infections? As I just read fungal infections can be the cause of the quarter size spots of rash you mentioned as well as a couple other simple rashes that didn't seem as they would start something of the nature if in fact that could be the root cause. I'm not saying it is but something worth looking into especially a fungus called Aspergillus. Anyhow here is the page I just looked at. http://www.janssen-cilag.com/bgdisplay.jhtml?itemname=fungal_symptomsI am hope someone on here sees this thread and can give you an exact answer to the root cause. GL and wish you the best.

  • I should have asked if your husband ever got over the M.A.L.T Lymphoma? If not want to have it checked to make sure it hasn't spread.
