Hi All,

This is my last hope to find answer on my problems or at least direction where to go.

(English is not my mother language so I appologize for any misteakes in the text)

Six months ago I noticed that I have white tongue. I did some tests. I had three pharyngeal swabs (I hope this is the right name): first - candida albicans, second - nothing, third - Staphylococcus aureus. I did three swabs because I met few doctors and each of them were saying different things. One said that this is candida albicans, two others that they don't see anythinhg wrong with my me and last one (gastrologiste) that this is stomach related and those are somekind of stomach gases which cause this.

Before you all think that I'm crazy going from doctor to doctor with tounge let me explain what other strange symptoms I have. They are appeared during this 6 month period of time..coming and going. Let me list them:
- pulsating/vibrating muscles all over my body - it is not painfull just irritating (just to be clear, my hands don't shake)
- pain in the left part of my abdominal area (like 5 cm (10 cm) on the left from my belly button) - it is not something constant..it comes and go. it is not so painfull.
- different problems with stools,
- low grade fewer...always between 37-37,5...for 6 months.
- small rush in the one part of mouth mucous membrane...like very small whitish dots under the mucous membrane.
- small white dots in the upper lips ... I heard that this can be something oil or hormon related...but I didn't have it previously.
- low pressure - I always had normal or high pressure...this is something positive but for sure not expected.

I spoke with few doctors but in my country quality of medical service is still low...all of them told me to wait and see as it is to early to say what it can be...

That's why I would like to ask you for a help! Can you please advice me what it can be? What test I should do? With which doctor I should speak i.g. gastrologist, neurologist or perhaps infectious diseases specialist?

Thank you very much for you help!
Regards,
Citron

  • Citron, you need to separate the symptoms. Your temperature is not exceptionally high and this might be the normal range for your body. The mouth problems sound like they could be Candida related. The tongue is often regarded as an indicator of your general well being, but it can also be prone to fungal infections. If so, there are various herbs and mouthwashes you can use to help this. I had the same problem a little while ago. Firstly, this treatment made my tongue go brown (as whatever it was died off) and then it regained its normal colour. Candida can also become overgrown in your digestive tract and it is possible this could be causing you some problems also. Stay of anything sugary and containing yeast. Also take antifungicidal herbs (and laxatives to keep your bowels moving). Your blood pressure sounds unrelated and it depends what it is whether you should be worried about it. One possibility is that you are taking something that is a diuretic and this might explain your bowel problems also. Only you can tell if your symptoms are serious enough to pursue further consultations. I think you should maintain close contact with your doctor though.

  • Thank you very much for your response. My biggest concerns are not the symptoms they selfs but root cause of them. If it is candida what caused it? If this is irritated bowel syndrom, what was driver of it. Or I'm dealing with some sort of virus...if yes which ones can be suspected.

Its growth can get out of hand for some reason. Antibiotic use is an example that is commonly quoted. You should check the website on IBS. Often the causes are not known, but stress is supposed to be important in many cases. If you are looking for a virus, the search could be endless. The obvious thing to do is control your diet and eat healthily. It might be an idea to treat your symptoms as if they were Candida and see what happens. I think you should consult your doctor and get his views - he will know more of your medical history and should be able to rule out many causes.

  • Thank you for your help...unfortunately I'm getting more depressed as I just noticed some small (2 mm) grey/white dot in my mouth at the end of the jaw. it is hard, flat, rough but luckly not painfull :-(. I tried to scrap it but it doesn't want to come off, despite that it is on the surface.the same time I got herpis on my lip (I have problems with those from time to time since I remember)those are still "small" things but realy don't want to wait till something big will come.;-(

  • I have had these similar white spots (not ulcers) in my mouth (that come and go) for as long as I can remember. It might be fungal, but I have never worked out really why they appear suddenly and then just as suddenly seem to vanish. You most certainly should not try and scrape them off. The herpes that you mention is a sign that you are generally run down and this might be the cause. These things happen and some people seem to be more prone to them than others. They are not necessarily symptoms of something that is going to get worse. However, getting depressed and worrying is a guaranteed way to make your symptoms worse! Maybe you should just try tackling the candia problem and see what happens. As always though, you should see your doctor if you are worried about something.

  • I'm not a doctor but this is what I think. Low blood pressure is a symptom of yeast, as well as changes in bowels, as well as tongue discoloration. Stay away from sugars and try to stay away from sugar and drink only distilled water. You can buy grapefruit seed extract fairly cheaply at any herb store. This is the best. You need to take it for 3-4 months to kill out the yeast. Then take acidophillis pills to replenish the good bacteria you need in your body to keep down the overgrowth of candidia . Good luck.
