I have had a constant upper left quadrant abd pain for 4 years. Just below my ribs. Many tests but no dx. I also have felt like something crawls upward into my throat when I lie down and night. This sx started around the same time as the abd pain.
Recently I feel a series of events when I first lie down...I have a moving feeling in my abdomen that is not painful and I know it is not gas. I then have a feeling like my diaphragm is moving more rapidly and then I start to feel the sensation like something is coming up my throat. I feel it almost to my ears but never see anything in the back of my throat when I look. I also have excessive salivation and some pain in the salivary glands. For the last 4 weeks I have had severe muscle pain all over my body. The doctor is doing a CPK to see if it is my cholesterol rx, which I now have stopped taking. I feel like I am going crazy with all the symptoms that may not be related but are keeping me awake all night.
