Hi I'm a 24 year old male. I'm going to tell you my story and hopefull you have some insight. I had mono in high school and sense then have strep throat and fatigue about once a year. The past 1-2 years ive had an annoying dull pain in my groin area that comes and goes maybe a few times a year. Recently, I had strep throat again. It almost felt exactly like mono because i was so fatigued for about 3 weeks. After the spots in my throat were gone i was coughing up absesses for another 2 weeks here and there. Also, that groin pain returned and this time it won't go away. I went to the doctor, and he (thinking it was an infection) gave me doxycycline. I am almost done with the bottle of pills but my symptoms seem worse. My groin is a bit swollen now, in 2 different places. The pain has increased. My stomach was hurting very badly midweek, and has felt sore and swollen since. I also beleive the nodes in my stomach may be infected, it hurts and seems a bit more raised. Im going to the doctor monday to ask for a blood test. Also, my legs feel sore every day and even feel like they may cramp at any moment. Now, this led me to believe maybe it was something serious. So i checked out Lymphoma. I don't have night sweats, rashes, or weight loss. At least not yet. So I don't think it is cancer. What i was hoping was to get some help on these boards, anything would be appreciated.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
