i used to have 2 or3 periods a year due to polycystic ovary syndrome, for the past 9 months ive been having a period every 18 days. Im also having palpitations daily, broken sleep, headaches and aches and pains mainly in the chest. Im 42 years old, ive had blood work done, ekg's, stress test and a 24 hour heart monitor and all results are normal. Has anyone got an idea whats up?

  • I also suffer from PCOS which I was diagnosed with last year. The only other symptom I have is the palpitations which is rare. I'm no doctor, but I would like to help you understand what you're going through. Are you on any meds? I'm on birth control because my cysts were caused by me ovulating and not starting my period thus turning the unreleased egg into a bloody cyst on my ovary. I get the occassional headache due to the birth control because it's regulating my cycles. If you are on birth control it could be the hormones that you weren't necessarily used to. I would suggest finding a good OB/GYN in your area that can fully check you out and properly diagnose you. Good luck, and I hope you get the answers you're looking for.
