O.k well here is a little background and hopefully someone can help me kinda figure out what this is.

22 year old male, very active and healthy eating habits.

I am having tingling feelings in my hands (ring and pinky fingers and outer side of hands) and wrist on both hands/forearms for a couple months. Usually it happens multiple times per day.

For approx. 1 week i have been having my joints on my ring and pinky finger on my left lock up severely, especially when I wake up in the morning and through the whole day.

I have been also feeling light headed when I stand up, and it isnt because I have stood up too quick or anything.

Last but not least I don't know if this is contributing to all this but my blood pressure the last time couple times I've checked seems to be very low.

This all might be different issues, but I just have a weird feeling they are all connected in some way. Anyways, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • How low was your blood pressure? How much water do you drink daily? What do you do for your job? Do you use your hands for work or exercise? DOM

  • How low was your blood pressure? How much water do you drink daily? What do you do for your job? Do you use your hands for work or exercise? DOMI cant remember the number exactly but I know the the Systolic was around 100-110-ish but the Diastolic was around 40.I drink quite a bit of water, usually like 3 liters or so a day.I work in sales, so not really any repetitive tasks. I do however lift weights about 3-4 days a week.Thanks.

I'd see an internist ASAP to get a thorough checkup. Is your heart low too? Your low BP is the cause of the dizziness. You could have some type of hormone or heart problem. You want to get this checked out soon.Good luck.

  • Possible hyponatremia? Or another electrolyte imbalance? Dehydration? Maybe a bit too much water at 3 L? How heavy are you? Do you live in a hot enviroment? You may need to be ingesting more salt and other electrolytes. Add some sports drinks and pedialyte to your fluid intake, try cutting back on the fluids a bit. Very Active? HOW ACTIVE? Maybe cutback on the activity until you find out why your bp is so low? You do need to see an internal med dr... some diseases can make you drink a lot of water. Or affect the way your body handles fluids and electolytes. Plus there are plenty of other illnesses besides eletrolyte imbalances that can make the BP fall, like gastritis, ulcers, heart problems etc etc. The dizziness when you stand up is probably orthostatic hypotension. You need to get in to a dr and get a good work up.;) tdwi O.k well here is a little background and hopefully someone can help me kinda figure out what this is. 22 year old male, very active and healthy eating habits.
