I'm a 30 year old female, and going through a really tough time for the past couple of months. Please help!
I went to the emergency room about 6 weeks ago because of extreme dizziness and double vision. They couldn't find anything, so they advised I see a neurologist. I started developing more symptoms, like problems with balance, coordination (and I was a gymnast!), concentration, tingling in my hands and feet, and pain that starts in my lower back and travels into my arms and legs.
The neurologist sent me for blood work (tested me for B12 level, Lyme Disease, and several other things I can't remember) and for an MRI of my brain and upper spinal area. When I went back for my follow-up, the neurologist said that MS was the only thing that would explain all my symptoms, but the MRI was clear. He said my B12 level was borderline, so I've started taking supplements, but it's not making a difference.
He's sending me now for an MRI of my middle back, as well as for more blood work and to a neuro-opthamologist. I'm just scared and frustrated now because I don't know what's wrong and nothing is getting any better.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
