Okay, before you jump to assumptions, im not a female - so its not pregnacy :)
School mornings, when i wake up i feel sick, and on 1/2 of the days when im walking to school i will vomit, causing me to have to go home. Recently i went to the doctors, they gave me an xray and an ultra-sound. Two problems that may be causing this are Reflux in my stomach or gallbladder pullops (the were shown in the ultra sound, they look like small dots in the bladder). The doctor suggested it was most likely the slight reflux in my stomach, and gave me tablets to calm it down. This morning, about 5 days later after getting the tablets and taking one every night i threw up on the way to school. Atm im at home, but im going back to school shortly. Weirdly enough, it only happens in the morning, and at a time that i HAVE to get up and get ready for school. Weekends are fine, cause i can sleep all i want and dont have to get up at a certain time and get ready etc. I do not vomit any other times of the day. And eating breakfast before school almost always results me in vommiting. After i have spewed i feel fine, and dont feel sick at all.
Just wondering if this could be related to the gallbladder, seeing as the tablets have not affected me at all.

Thanks for the read, and help.

  • I think that sometime when people get up too early (or what their STOMACHS is too early) there is too much acids & even with eating breakfast you feel sick & throw up to get rid of that excess acid...try skipping an early breakfast but bring something with you & maybe eat an hr after U get going & see if that helps...trouble is that teachers dont usually like U eating in their classes but if you mayb explain the situation it may fly...Also sometimes it can be what you eat...ie acidic stuff like milk or any dairies...have you tried stuff like a muffin or just toast?? Certainly not OJ cuz that or coffee can set off the acid irritations & nausea very quickly...OK that is just some thoughts...I use to have this when I was in high school too...I did end up with early Gallbladder issues too but now that it's out I can eat early AM's with no prob b4 work. SO ?? mayb you will have an issue later with ur gallbladder & now you are making too much bile over nites & it's irritating ur stomach??

  • I hope some one can answer this for you because I had almost the same problem as you growing up. The only difference was I couldn't eat because it would have made me throw up so I was just nauseated everyday, and just like you, if I slept in long enough, I wasn't nauseated. It actually went away when I was around 16 or so, but when I got pregnant at age 18, I had morning sickness morning, noon and night, for the whole pregnancy, so now 20 years later, I still have the morning sickness, but I have found that if I eat immediately after I wake up, I won't get nauseated. Have you tried just eating a piece of toast? Something small? I would sure love to get rid of my morning sickness. I hope someone can cure us..hehe :)Tammy

  • When do you usually take your last meal / how late do you eat? You didn't mention if you skipped breakfast or not in the morning. Also, are you getting enough sleep?I had about the same problems as you a few months ago... not quite fun. It didn't happen to me every day though. Luckily, It stopped as I finally got a routine back in my life, I now never skip breakfast, I try to sleep more and I try not to eat or only have light snacks after 8pm. If I remember correctly, the problems happened mostly on days that I was the most tired.I think that in my case, it was a way my body found to fight my not so reasonable new lifestyle. I do have a few gallbladder stones as well, so it could be related.Best of luck.

  • Thanks for the replies.I do skip breakfast in the morning, for the fact that if i do eat breakfast i am garunteed to vomit. I have dinner time at around 6-7 most nights , and usually eat enough to ensure im full and wont eat anything too late before i do to go bed.

  • I'm not really sure, I don't throw up in the morning, but my stomach is usually pretty upset when I wake up, especially if I am cold overnight, definitely let us all know what you figure out, what someone already posted about there being too much stomach acid in the morning makes more sense than anything any doctor has told me, since its only in the morning. Maybe the doctor could give you anti nausea pills to take right after you wake up until they figure out whats wrong so you don't fall to far behind or lose credit or something.

  • Well sounds like maybe a nervous stomach, how is school going? One other thought when you sleep at night are you on your stomach mostly? And if so try making yourself sleep on your back as this may be causing some sickness by putting pressure on your belly and when you get up in the morning the fluids all rush back in making you sick and if you have a little reflux put a 1in block under the head of your bed and the reflux will stop

  • Did the doctor say to take the reflux tablets before bed as opposed to when you wake up?

  • Did the doctor say to take the reflux tablets before bed as opposed to when you wake up? The doctor gave me the refulux tablets to take before bed and that was all. They were not working so he gave me "Motilium" tablets. I have to take one, half an hour before a meal , twice a day. But honestly they dont seem to help. I felt sick saturday night....didnt throw up tho.
