I began having severe pain in my upper right abdomen since Dec. 17th. My doctor told me to go to the ER where I was given a VQ Scan to rule out an abdomenal abcess, a chest x-ray, an ultrasound to rule out gallbladder problems and blood work. I was sent home with a diagnosis of pluerisy. Two days later I was sent back again to another ER where I was given more tests and told that one of them showed that I had passed a kidney stone. This didn't seem right to me as I believed that once a kidney stone passed, the pain went away. Two days later I was admitted to a hospital where I was told that I had "pulled a muscle or sprained a rib" from coughing. None of these doctors had any conviction behind their "diagnoses" and I am still in a great deal of sharp unremitting pain that dramatically increases when I sneeze. (It feels as if my abdomen is tearing.) I can only lie on my right side where my pain is coming from. I don't want to go back to a hospital.
