I am 17 years old; I have been getting re-occurring boils since the age of 7. They start off like hard pus size of about a pea under the skin, and then within hours/days they become very inflamed and full of pus. They are VERRRY painful to touch. Sometimes I can’t walk and the pain makes me feel sick. They leave indented purple/black scars, which will in time fade. This makes me feel very self-conscious about myself!! In the last 10/11 years I’ve seen countless different Drs. They all say the same thing "nothing we can do you'll have to live with it". Anyway they have given me so many different medications to try and nothing works. I've also been to two different Dermatology Drs in two different Hospitals. Neither of them investigated my problem properly they just look at it; they haven’t even tried taking pus samples (Gross I know!) Anyway I have been looking up on "Boils on the inner Thigh" most people who have commented on here sound like they have "Hidradenitis Suppurativa" - I think that’s what I have. It's not curable but it can be controlled medically. Have a look and print some stuff out about it. Then show your Dr and see what he/she thinks. That’s what I’m going to do tomorrow.
If anyone can give me advice on treatment then please do!!
Good luck guys!
