I just found it interesting that I never knew the difference between the two. I found a site that does just that and I now am going to make an informed decision next time I choose a Doctor. Hope maybe it can help someone. www.stronghealth.com/services/primarycare/domd.cfm

  • My experience with a Nuerologist that is a D.O was the BEST! He took all symptoms into consideration and treated me as a whole instead of seperate. I would get a D.O in a minute!!!

  • Do's and MD's pass the same national boards. The DO's I've known have been older, wiser and more homeopathic that MD.s.

  • I'm glad to see this thread. My doctor has DO after her name. I am seeing a cardiologist next week and he also has DO after his name. I was wondering why they didn't have MD after their names. Thanks for the link.
