My Mom who is 55 has had nausea for the past 4 months to the point she can not eat on many days. Now she is having difficulty getting out of bed. She has had tests looking for gastro problems, stomach cancer, ulcers, -nothing found. She feels pain in the upper right hand side of her rib cage on many days. Next doc visit is the 28th. I am afraid there is too much time between doc visits and tests. She seems to be waisting away before our eyes.

  • Gallbladder???I had my gallbladder out and nausea and pain in my upper right side were the most severe symptoms. I also would vomit at times and have diahea. Have the dr. do an ultrasound to see if her liver is enlarged and see if they can see stones or sludge in his gallbladder. Good Luck!

  • I just saw your posting and hope that you are still checking this thread as the weight loss really hit me. I am 50 years old and have had a pain for 5 years that is progressively getting worse. They tried to blame it on IBS but just recently found that I have a blockage in my superior mesenteric artery and need angioplasty. I do not have weight loss which is unusual but that is normally one of the main symptoms of this problem. Just google blockage in SMA syndrome for more info.

  • I've got the same problems.. but i have a parasite called b hominis (blastocystosis) wich causes my problems. Ask your dokter for an TFT to test your stools for parasites! A very helpfull site about this parasite is www.badbugs.org (this is not advertisement! )

  • I have had these same symptoms for almost 3 months. The weight loss, insomnia, and sweats on and off. Due to my pain under my upper right rib they thought Hep A. Later they found that not to be true via blood tests. Please let me know what has happened in your case. I know i'ts been a while. e-mail billsno7@yahoo.com

You may have to do more than once, but not more than once per day. She'll need to be near the potty, as the olive oil has that "kinda" affect.
