My mother is in her 60's and since she began menopause her hot flashed and sweating are uncontrolable. She sweats so much her hair is falling out and she has to change her cloths 10 plus times a day ( i am NOT exagerating) . I mean to the point where she just finished running a race. She can be in a acr, outside, sitting, walking, or sleeping and the symptoms have been getting worse over the past 10 years.

I need to find a specialist and I was hoping cyber space can help.

We have saw our primary care doctor numerous times and he said all her tests have come back normal. Well there is something obviously wrong and I need advise

  • I went over to the Multiple Symptom page and clicked on sweating. Unfortunately every link I clicked on under CAUSES OF TYPES OF SWEATING led me to This Page Can Not Be Found. Hope that gets fixed soon. My heart really goes out to your mom. I live in a very hot climate and must change my clothes several times a day when I go outside during the summer. Since your mom has only been to her primary doctor, she might want to see an endocrinologist. They usually insist on getting a referral. Beyond hormonal (and hot weather), I am clueless what might cause such sweating.
