First post on this site, so I hope someone reading can offer some advice?
For the last 5-6 years, I've been suffering from a wide range of symptoms, each with a different level of seriousness, at one stage or another. There doesn't seem to be any trigger or link to the symptoms and I never seem to suffer from more than 1 or 2 at any one time. These are the main, frequent ones:-
*Mild/medium/severe abdominal pain and discomfort.
*Occasional blood in stool.
*Shortness of breath - normally while resting.
*Coughing up phlegm.
*Seeing white dots after sneezing or looking at bright lights.
*Loss of appetite - normally associated with frequent indegestion/heartburn.
*Fluctuating weight loss/gain.
*Severe changes in body temperature (feeling shivery to feeling hot for no apparent reason).
*Nauesea and feeling faint.
I have been back and forward to see numerous doctors at the clinic and i've so far had the following tests (taken over the last 6 years):
*Full chest x-ray - results back normal.
*At least 8 complete blood counts - all results back normal.
*4 HIV Tests over 5 year period - doctor only sent me for 1 and I went to hospital for another 3 to try and put my mind at rest. All results back negative.
*5 urine samples - results back normal.
*5 stool samples - results back normal.
*colonoscopy - nothing found.
*esophagogastroduodenoscopy - nothing found.
My doctor now seems to think I might have Crohn's disease as this can carry all the symptoms I'm suffering from, but it is apparently difficult to diagnose. I would have thought this would have been found when I had a colonoscopy done though?
Doctors and specialists Ive seen appear to be at a loss as to what's causing these symptoms. Ive been worried about HIV, but I think thats just because it can't be cured, which is obviously a worry. The hospital told me to stop going back as there's no need. I 100% don't have it, according to them.
Apologies for the long post, but I thought i might aswell put across everything that's happened/happening, in the hope someone might be able to offer some sort of advice. Its frustrating waking up every morning and not having a clue what's wrong with me and then frequent trips to doctors/hospitals and getting no further forward.
Thanks in advance.
