I really hope someone reads this whole post and replies honestly. I am extremely desperate. Please help! ;_;

I am beginning to worry, about my physical health and mental health. I am not sure if this is all in my head, or if I am just saying that because I am in denial over the possibility of a more serious disease (which is what I have been told, but I don't know.)

Basically, I will list all the abnormal things that happen to me on a regular basis, and I will categorize them.

Please be honest. I really want help, and I consider people suspecting I am a hypocondiac help. I just..don't know. :/

Head/Mental Related:
- Random headaches.
- Dizzy a lot.
- Forgetful. As in, I will be in mid sentence and forget how to speak. I will forget where I am, what I was doing. This is very common. Sometimes I will be almost catatonic, I won't be able to respond to anything. I know I am supposed to, but for some reason I just can't.
- Flashing lights when I go to sleep.
- I twitch a lot.
- I get ringing in my ears very often.
- My ears always itch on the inside. ALWAYS. It's so annoying, and kind of gross.
- My eyes go out of focus a lot.
- Sometimes I start to shiver randomly..when I am not cold.

Skin/Bone Related:
- Random bruises, mainly on arms.
- I have these random small bright red (like cherry red) dots that have been appearing on my arms. I've had two for awhile, but lately they've been spreading. I looked it up, and many places said it was some Cherry freckle thing, but they also said when you press on it, the color is supposed to go away and come back when blood flows back. The color does not go away when I do that.
- Very dry skin. I use lotion, that just makes it not bleed.
- My bones sometimes ache. Especially in the middle of my left palm and left foot. Not on joints.

Stomach/Weight Related:
- Extreme stomach pain, usually occurs when I wake up and lasts for a few hours. This is extremely bad, I've missed multiple days of school because of this. This is getting progressively worse.
- Alternating diareha and constipation. The constipation can last up to 6 days, that's the longest I've had it happen.
- Weight loss. I changed my diet back in November. I eat less bad stuff, but I still don't eat great. I was losing weight before, and I am still losing weight. I should have flat-lined by now since I am not exercising at all. But I haven't.
- Nausea in the morning. Lasts usually the same amount of time as the pain.
- Sometimes I get this really bad smell, I know it's me but I don't know what it is. :/ It's not something I can control either. Didn't step in anything, I shower every day, I use deoderant and cologne...

----

A doctor I saw said I have IBS. I've had a small blood panel done, stool tests, and a small bowel follow through with a barium swallow (which made me sick for three days) and everything was normal, besides my high blood pressure and high cholestoral. So he said it was just IBS caused by my weight and sent me on my way. But, if it was IBS caused by my weight, it would be going away as I lose weight. Not be getting progressively worse.

Please, any help is appreciated. I know I sound crazy, but I am really desperate. I haven't been able to do anything for months since this has started, and it just started out of no where. I'm too afraid of what might happen if I go into a bad episode and I am not at home. :/

  • As far as Im aware.. ones weight does not cause IBS. Has your doctor suggested anything to actually help the IBS? If he hasnt, he really dont have a clue about IBS as there are things you can do for it which can help. (fellow IBS sufferer) ps. IBS can coexist with other conditions.

IBS can coexist with other conditions. They prescribed me IC Dicyclomine, which is supposed to reduce stomach spasms. It's done nothing for me. They told me to do the "IBS diet" which I did way before I was told I had IBS. That's about it.Every time I go there and say something, they just go "Well, you're overweight and let's focus on that." and every time I say "Or let's focus on the thing that is causing me constant pain everyday? Yeah, let's do that."I just don't know what to do anymore, this site is really my last hope for any sort of answers. :(

  • I was put on anti-stomach spasm medicine. It doesn't help at all. That's about it. Besides that, all she does is just focus on me losing weight. Which I guess is good, but that's not the reason why I went there and whenever I bring up IBS she just mentions my weight.

IBS is to do with the bowel thou it may give you tummy and bowel pain. It can also cause nausea and cause you to smell if constipated toxins dont release as well from your system, that can also make you more forgetful and get headaches too .. I have IBS too of the same type as you (constipation but also diarrhea at times as it also swings other way). I ended up asking my doctor for a referal to a gastrointerologist at the hospital. The gastrointerologist was quite helpful and put me on fibre supplements which I can take once or twice a day. (Fibre supplements are probably available at your supermarket.. should be available at your pharmacy). Fibre supplements will help to balance things.. helps with both constipation and diarrhea (best to avoid ones with too much artifical stuff in them thou.. one kind will just give me the ****s). On top of that.. probotics can help improve your bowel health and can help with IBS too. (try a good quality one.. should be available at your pharmacy without a script). Thirdly with IBS.. you need to try to avoid any triggers you have with it. Hot spicy foods are an issue for many of us. For many myself included hormones can trigger it off.. a end up getting diarhea due to it sometimes at that time of the month. best luck. I'd give up with your doctor with it as your doctor obviously dont know much about it.......... Im wondering if you are getting a lot of fatigue??

  • I do have fatigue. Sometimes everything just feels weak, but it's not enough to actually stop me from doing anything. It's barely noticeable once I start getting into the pace of something. The pain however is debilitating.I've tried eliminating foods from my diet. Nothing that has can be an obvious cause (dairy, peanuts, manufacture flour, spicy foods, high salt intake, sugar, fake-sugar, so on) weren't causes.I actually took probiotics for months at the beginning of this (from August to December) along with fiber and nothing helped. I actually noticed it getting worse so I stopped taking probiotics and fiber. But I am assuming that it getting worse was not caused by those because it's still getting worse.

I recently watched a documentary called "under our Skin" I think you may find the answers you are looking for. I believe I have found my answer, I also have other family members who have had the symptoms you explain, again thier doctors have no clue. This film can be seen over the internet at places like Netflix or Amazon.I wish the best for you!
