This posting is a kind of last ditch effort to help my 60 year old father who has been ill with many mysterious symptoms for about the last 5 years. His "illness" started when he started to have difficulty with eating and lost about 1/3rd of his body weight from vomiting/diarrhea. That problem has persisted, with every GI specialist giving him little answers except "severe IBS." He has been frequently treated with antibiotics and struggles to eat even today. He still vomits frequently and now also gets constipated frequently. About a year ago he started to develop boils that were severe and he needed to be hospitalized several times due to concerns about him becoming septic without inpatient treatment. Now his newest symptoms is neuropathy or numbness in his legs that makes him fall at times due to this symptom. He is beginning to re-develop some boils also. He also was recently diagnosed with having 8 cavities all at once, and he never had poor dental health in the past, he always seemed to have remarkably good teeth. In fact, he gave up smoking 2 years ago. He has had many tests, and at this point no answers. Any suggestions? He has already visited Mayo Clinic in Minnesota where he got the IBS label. His other symptoms certainly don't seem to fit IBS at this time however.HELP!!!

  • Because of his intestinal illness, my guess is that he is severely malnourished. Get some TOP NOTCH colloidal (liquid) vitamins, minerals & enzymes - http://www.druckerlabs.com/intramax.html Also, find a GI guy who will give him a video pill. Such severe malabsorption usually occurs in the small intestine, which is difficult to get to by colonoscopy or endoscopy.Three, get him on a gluten free diet, regardless of his celiac status. Gluten has been tied to a number of autoimmue illnesses. Finally, get him Threelac (available on Amazon). It is a high quality anti-fungal/probiotic that may help, and certainly can't hurt.

  • How about looking at it differently ? A good alt med doc will do that, and may have more insight because of looking at it differently. Traditional medicine has its limits, as do all. But with the ongoing lack of effective treatment, how about trying the above suggestion ?

  • Look up boils and carbuncles on a search engine and they will list what dificiency there are. THere is also a medicine they gave my mom for depression and it also stimulated her to eat so you might need thatI agree he is immune suppressed and he propably has the intrensic factor low which allows the gut to asorb the vitamins he needs. Lots of BOOST, freeze them put fruit in them.

  • Wow, to unregistered who recommends supplement from Drucker Labs: This stuff is FANTASTIC! I have just started ordering it for my clinic. It is only sold to healthcare practitioners and is expensive, but it takes the place of ALL other supplements you may be taking. it literally blows everything else out of the water! Dr. Drucker healed himself from a severe rare autoimmune disease and created this protocol. It is NOT colloidal minerals, though. It is carbon based intracellular technology he uses and contains no colloids...colloids are too large to penetrate the cells, and can actually cause more harm than good, according to Dr. Drucker. It takes 40 days to make just one bottle of this stuff. It is extremely hypoallergenic and vegetarian. It is what I have been looking for for years. I am only taking 2 teaspoons per day and feel amazing. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Fantastic stuff. By the way, it is not direct or multilevel marketing. Not a gimmick, please visit www.druckerlabs.com and find a doctor near you who sells it, and give it a try. Best of luck.DOM

  • Ok when you are severly nauseted. Freezing insure with fruit or anything else to eat is just not going to work. I use to throw up constanly. After visiting several GI docs I finally found one who diagnosed me with achlashia. May be spelled wrong. GI has to run specific test for this. The end of my esophagas had closed up so food could not go into my stomach so I just threw up. Could not even keep water down eventually. Malnutrician could be causing the boils. Hope this helps. This posting is a kind of last ditch effort to help my 60 year old father who has been ill with many mysterious symptoms for about the last 5 years.
