I guess my question is there anything I should mention or ask at my next DR visit in a few weeks with an eye specialist. Any thoughts as to what could be going on? Do you think Lymes is possibly causing these things? I have visited many times an area that has a lot of lymes ticks. The area I live in does not have any and it's not common. I have never had a tick nor the bulls eye rash. I also thought the symptoms would be much worse if it were lymes. So I have never thought of asking the DR of the possiblity. I know there are a lot of people that know a lot about lymes that post here, so I thought I would ask what your thought are on lymes or anything else for that matter.

I started getting headaches and finger numbness about 5 years ago, at that time a MRI (cervical/brain) revealed disc disease with one discs pushing on the thecal sac. It was also noted during the exam that I had a palsy when looking to the right in the right eye. Treatment that I received was for the cervical spine. I still have frequent headaches and numbness.

Few years later I noticed very minor peripheral vision loss also in the right eye. I was sent to a Neuro Eye DR. I was told it was very possible a Neuro problem, but that it had not fully come out.

About 8 or 9 months ago I noticed I was having problems reading things up close and needed cheaters to read smaller print. And another issue that's hard to explain.

A few months ago I had an episode of ON in the right eye. My eyesight and RX had changed (I noticed it), before that my RX has not been changed since I was a teen, in fact I rarely wore glasses (mainly night driving to read signs). I got new glasses without bifocals, DR recommended cheaters. MRIs (with and without contrast) were done there was and no change since 5 years ago. Some blood tests were done and the only thing that came up was elevated white blood cell count. ANA was done too it was neg. I don’t recall the other test, maybe a sed rate.

Followed up a few weeks ago and the DR said up close vision had again changed, not distance though. In a couple weeks I have an appointment with an eye specialist.

The palsy is always there on exam. Also I see double when looking to the right side only.

Other symptoms that may or not be related:
For about a year I have noticed minor twitching in arm and leg muscles mainly on the right side, annoying if anything. A few times a week I can hear my heartbeat in my ear, I can hear it if it‘s quiet and sometimes I can hear it even with background noise (I have low blood pressure). Sometimes it drives me nuts, and I cant fall asleep. I seem to always be tired but not an extreme. Right now that's all I can think of.

  • I think it's fair to say that Blaze has a Lyme disease bias. Other things can cause your symptoms. Keep an open mind and ask questions.

  • Blaze has lyme disease, like me, and we are not crazy imagining that everybody has lyme, even if it looks like because a lot of people here has answer of us.The name of the forum is: i can't get a diagnosis right! This is the situation of 80% of lyme disease, and the 20% more have wrong disgnosis. That's why so many people here has lyme..With lyme, doctor's don't know what u have!Thay don't know it, even if it's the biggest epidemy in the world ok.Here is the proof that infectious disease lied about the treatment and diagnosis: http://www.ct.gov/ag/cwp/view.asp?a=2795&q=414284So you must see a LLMD(lyme literate medical doctor) that will test u properly and will tell u if it's lyme. Go on lyme net!Fanny
