I think that I may have lyme disease. I have been having anxiety and panic attacks. I also have this problem were I always feel the need to take a deep breath but cannot get that satisfied feeling at the end of my breath. I have also been having an issue with my feet and lower arm falling asleep quite easily if placed in an awkward position. On top of all this the left side of my face will occassionally go numb, but I think this may be related to the grinding of my teeth. Please let me know what you think.

  • Do you drink any diet drinks? Aspartame is known to cause these symptoms. If you do, go off anything with aspartame for 60 to 90 days and see if the symptoms improve. Take Essential Fatty Acids 3G a day and a good food based multi-vitamin and a B-Complex.

  • Maybe a lot of things, but you should have a doctor check out your issues because numbness can be serious.

  • I want to make it clear that its not like a numbness like a novacaine numbness. It's more just like a tingling sensations all throughout my left cheek.

  • research mycoplasma infections. There are many overlapping symptoms with the two illnesses. Here is a link to a lab that tests for mycoplasma infections...there are many strains of it. http://www.clongen.com/clinical_significance_and_testing_of_mycoplasma.php Fermentans seems to be the one that most people have. Here is a link with some info that should explain alot about the mycoplasma infections, what they are and where they came from. http://www.whale.to/m/scott7.html#IV_-_COVERT_TESTING_OF_OTHER_DISEASE_AGENTS_ Donald Scott is a reputable man. You can also look up information on Garth Nicholson who devised PCR testing for mycoplasma infections. He knows what they are and where they came from as he originally worked on the project himself. Here is a video done by Garth Nicholson.http://herballure.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=249384&site_id=1#import Everyone in North America now carries this dis-ease agent and possibly most people throughout the world. get tested for Mycoplasma infections and if you are going to get tested for Lyme make sure you do it through Bowen in FL or IGeneX in CA as they are the only 2 labs to test appropriately for Lyme and co-infections thereof. Best wishes, let us know how it goes... mommy cat also, see thread above, lots o Lyme info there.

  • First of all, physicians will not let anyone suffer. I do not believe for even a moment that you suffer from chronic Lyme disease or any other parasitic infection. After a thorough review of your postings, it's quite clear that you suffer purely from a psychatric disorder and merely believe that you're infected because you are unable to face and address your underlying psychopathology. The notion that parastites and cellular phone waves are penetrating and affecting your brain, body and your thoughts is highly suspect for paranoid delusions. You continue to try and recruit others who come here looking for legitimate answers to medical questions with an unswerving effort to make people somehow believe that they may have the disease as well. You sir, need a psychiatrist. The person posting the inquiry here has absolutely no describable symptoms even remotely related to Lyme disease and you are being extremely reckless in making such assertions. What is becoming rapidly evident is that you are under the firm delusion that something has invaded your body in the way of parasites and cellular transmissions and caused you to have symptoms that you are either unable to cope with, or do not understand. Your continual rampage against physicians in general merely supports the fact that the medical community refuses to participate in your delusional pathology and therefore, represents your nemesis. Substantiated proof of your absolute internal rage associated with your underlying psychopathology will soon be apparent in your response to my statements. Again, I think you should seek a psychiatrist and explain why you think parasites and cellular transmissions have invaded your body and constitute a threat to everyone in general. Otherwise, you may spend out your life wrestling with the misperception that something inside you is responsible for thoughts and actions that you are unable to come to terms with on your own. I hope this straight talk helps you realize how abstract and distorted your theory is and why it's important for you to seek help. The first step is the realization that you have a problem. regards

  • It amazes me that after replying to JCottle, MD's statements against my suggestions on several other threads, he never answered my question as to how many Lyme Patients he has treated. Or if he actually sees patients in an office setting. I am glad to give anyone scientific support for statements I make, along with my personal experience getting diagnosed, and my 16 years of working with studies, research projects and writing LYME information in formats for people to read to become informed. All this time going from doctor to doctor, diagnosis to diagnosis.. and never getting a lyme test at a specialty lab until I forced it! It ONLY took 16 years of having doctors nod they heads, take the same testing over and over and something like 15 serious misdiagnosis to finally have Lyme and other tick borne illness and am getting treatment.I find it highly condescending when JCottle, MD writes "down" to us and accuses us of having psychiatric issues no matter what symptoms we share we are having. IF we mention panic attacks, JCottle, MD tells us without a doubt, that we are in need of a psychiatrist. What's up with all the psychiatry pressure?Just being upset because one is ill is NOT a reason for needing drugs to help our minds 'get right'... What will help our minds and bodies get right is a CORRECT diagnosis! And since we are here because of getting a wrong (or many wrong) or even NO diagnosis, because doctors refuse to be gutsy enough to test with labs that are more sensitive for some illnesses. No the fact that doctors actually make money from insurance companies testifying against cases involving Lyme patients insurance cases, that could be a reason those doctors NEED to continue down the same path. That path is a cash cow for them, but a dead cow for us. Some doctors have patents from which they are still making money. And too boot, it costs a lot of money to treat Lyme Disease because doctors are not diagnosing it enough to prevent it from becoming on going. Again, the insurance companies want doctors who will testify that it is over treatment if patients are still sick and still require treatment. One doctor is being attacked in court because a Mom had two kids with Lyme Disease and a great doctor helped the girls get much better, but this Mom's ex husband didn't want to pay for half the medical bills, so he filed with the insurance companies and has been fighting over the very doctor who HELPED his daughters.... but he didn't want the treatment because it was expensive. These crazy cases are filling our courts and some doctors are scared to treat Lyme. Some just don't want to anyway. And with a lab test that will with all probability be negative, what a great way to lessen the chance to have to treat them? If they come back with a negative Lyme test? Its a crazy world right now, but there is more and more scientific testing, abstracts being written and studies being done proofing that Lyme is not easy to get rid of and it can take a lot of time on medication to cure people. Letting Lyme sit around inside people until the Lyme debate is finished will literally KILL people and create 10's of thousands of people who will be stuck with a deadly infection which has become so deeply embedded by that time, that the only protocol left is a long long time of expensive and difficult treatments. This could all be fixed if doctors would take the more sensitive testing in the first place so NOT so many cases or over looked by bad science. Panic attacks are a highly listed, very common symptom of Lyme Disease. As is trouble breathing. Babesiosis causes breathing and lots of other dangerous symptoms. Do you test for Babesia when you have a patient with breathing difficulties and other symptoms? So --- JCottle, MD --- Do you actually see patients? Are you indeed a medical doctor? Have you ever treated a Lyme Disease patient, and if you have, for how long and what was the result of treatment?I would suggest you review the new documentary, UNDER OUR SKIN... if you are a doctor you can just buy it, it is only $30. and you might learn more about lyme and WHY we get upset by some people and most especially doctors who are so darn sure some of the Lyme symptoms are not Lyme symptoms. I would love to hear your reaction to the documentary.

  • Blaze & LightI agree with you both!! As one who has been trying to get dx'd for 20 yrs., I have walked in your shoes. I wasted 10 yrs, on useless antidepressants, when I really have Lyme & Bartonella. See the posts by Mommy Cat for more info. Keep spreading the word and helping others.~~JerseyLymieJCottle, MD,I think you owe Blaze an apology! You don't know what any of us have been through with doctors, trying to get well. You just put your self in the catagory of drs, that most of us have dealt with. The ones who passout antidepressants and have told us there is nothing wrong. I suggest, you educate yourself on Lyme and the Co-infections, not make hurtful comments to others. If you really want to help others here. Why haven't you replied to the questions you are asked ? I would like to know the answers as would many others, so people would know whether to trust your opinions or not.

  • Jersey... you are a gem!!!!! A Diagnosis consists of a group of symptoms// once the symptoms are resolved, the DIAGNOSIS no longer pertains. I met a woman here in this forum who gave me the best advice ever, and I took it. It saved my life literally. I would not be living if it weren't for wd and the very dear friend I met here. She was trying to get well herself and find information as well as help and inform others. Another gem!!!! http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?t=12566 great links in this thread...In the beginning I thought everyone had ME(Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) Which we know as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Then I realized that ME/CFS is caused from mycoplasma infections so I realized most people in this site were having symptoms of ALL of the diseases caused by mycoplasma infections. Mycoplasma genitalium Arthritis, chronic nongonococcal urethritis, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, other urogenital infections and diseases, infertility, AIDS/HIVMycoplasma fermentansArthritis, Gulf War Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lupus, AIDS/HIV, autoimmune diseases, ALS, psoriasis and Scleroderma, Crohn's and IBS, cancer, endocrine disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, diabetesMycoplasma salivariumArthritis, TMJ disorders, Eye and ear disorders and infections, gingivitis, periodontal diseases including even cavities.Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum Pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, non-gonococcal urethritis, vaginitis, cervicitis, amnionitis, pyelonephritis, post-partum septicemia, neonatal pneumonia, neonatal conjunctivitis, Reiter's syndrome, peritonitis, wound infections (C-section), low birth weight infants, and premature rupture of membranes. Mycoplasma pneumonia Pneumonia, asthma, upper and lower respiratory diseases, heart diseases, leukemia, Steven-Johnson syndrome, polyarthritis or septic arthritis, CNS disorders and diseases, urinary tract infections, Crohn's and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Guillain-Barr syndrome, polyradiculitis, encephalitis, and septic meningitis, autoimmune diseases. Mycoplasma incognitus andMycoplasma penetrans AIDS/HIV, urogenital infections and diseases, Autoimmune disorders and diseasesMycoplasma pirum Urogenital infections and diseases, AIDS/HIVMycoplasma faucium, M. lipophilum and M. buccale Diseases of the gingival crevices and respiratory tract It was quite a journey...I was also called crazy, treated very poorly by some and eventually was banned...only to return and share my story..in attempts to help others. Focus on relieving symptoms. Your symptoms are caused from allergies. Eliminate the allergies...erase the symptoms. I am living symptom free everyday. I am back to work, driving my first new car and healthier than I have ever been. I was diagnosed properly...finally... with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. This is not a paid advertisement. It is the story of my own personal journey and my attempts to reach out and help others.....after someone else reached out to me...and saved my life, literally. Get tested for mycoplasma/Lyme and other tick borne infections... and instead of taking long term antibiotics to atttempt to 'KILL" the bacteria, seek NAET or BioSET therapy...accupressure. treat the symptoms, eliminate the allergies. Dr Cott... how much are they paying you to come here and feed the masses this bologna? Best wishes mommy cat

  • No doubt that JCottle, MD, is CRAZY and that's why he says the things he say and he way he says them. No doubt he is old and he had dementia and probably he has an advanced Lyme Disease.Hey if you believe you have bacteria or a parasitic infection, get the treatment for it; the ones that don't kill the bugs are quadriplegic and with neuromotor problems, having to go see Doctors like this JCottle, ha, wow, God!Lyme is not easy to detect but it is treatable; don't give up ever!
