I have been sick for a month. it started with some discomfort in my upper left abdomon. the next day it transitioned to pain in my lower left back while still in my abdomen. could only sleep on my back and woke up in pain. i went to emergency the following day and they did a catscan.
results - nothing. i was went home on pain meds. still woke up every for hours in pain.
still in pain, no appetite, bloated went to the dr a couple of days later. he gave me nexium. it did not work - was admitted to the hospital the next day.
iv and antibiotics - another catscan - no results and an ultrasound - no results. in hospital bed the pain went away walked the halls no pain. went home the next day because the pain went away.
took same antibiotics and protonix - pain came back and also discomfort in lower left side...
went back to emergency again - another catscan blood test for pancreas ok - no results...
called the dr he said i was fine, called the gyno told them i was still in pain. they had another radiologist read the first catscan and the results changed... http://images.ehealthforum.com/health/images/smiles/confused.gif

went to colo rectal dr - had a coloscopy and endoscopy yesterday. two benign polyps removed and mild inflammation of the duodenum...
he said that he doubted that either caused my pain...
day after procedure - still some discomfort in the left side possibly from the procedure, still bloated, discomfort in the lower left side and still no appetite.
Went back to my dr - he examined me and sent me to my gyno once more. waited for that appt - she found nothing.
contacted my family dr and he said that he was going to make arrangements for the camera pill.
went back to work sick as a dog - suffering with bloating and discomfort.
called my family dr and asked for referral for a rhumatologist - he wanted to know why. i did some research and figured i might have soherners syndrome - dry eyes-saiivary glands and patinoid gland issues.
meantime made appt with opthamologist - woke up the other morning and could not walk - had a pain i my right leg/ankle area - could not drive - had to get a ride to dr office.
diagnosed w/dry eyes and glaucoma.
went directly to the dr office with leg pain - he sent me for ultrasound and x-ray- thought blood clot. went back to his office - ultrasound negative.
colorectal dr is making arrangements for camera pill to view the small intestine.
referred to a rhumatologist. my dr ran additional blood test for lupus and sogerners syndrome.
he has me on prednisone, synthroid, diflucan, and pepcid. i am still bloated and having much discomfort today.
i am so tired of being sick and no one knowing what is wrong with me.
