Hi Everyone~

I am 34 years old and female. I take 800 mg of Seroquel-- which is an antipsychotic--- and I have taken Cenestin 1.25 - Hormones for Perimenopause-- (I had a hysterectomy in January)--- for seven months

I have been diagnosed w/ fibromyalgia in the past... but what is going on now makes no sense to me.

My fingers are swollen and very very sore --- I can barely bend them, b/c they look like little sausages. My knees are sore... My wrists don't want to move.... I have been running temperatures in the 96-97s--- but then yesterday, it spiked to 99.9-- this morning it was 98.0. I am exhausted and dizzy. I cannot even drive because I get so confused-- I forget everything. I cannot tell you today-- one thing I did yesterday. My psychiatrist says my problem with the memory is from Klonopin-- but I don't believe this b/c I have been on the same dose for YEARS.

My family doctor-- I saw her yesterday.... Says that since my thyroid has been bouncing around lately--- She thinks it is either my thyroid or menopause. She says some people have delayed menopause-- after hysterectomies.... They took my ovaries. SIGH. My fingers are so bad... and the bottoms of my feet--- I POUR sweat all the freakin' time-- I have my thermostat set on 69.0--- and am still POURING SWEAT.

I don't know what to do!!

I am so upset.

I don't just want to drop dead or something.... but I am sick and our county ER is just terrible.

My family doc just ran an

ANA
Sedamentation Rate
CBC
Hormone test
Kidney Function...

I am waiting for results.

If you have experienced any of these symptoms.... PLEASE help me.

Thank you-

Misti

Thank you- MistiSorry for all you are going through!A few questions, please: What was the "explanation" for your prescription for Konopin/Seroquel?WHY did you have a hysterectomy...more accurately an oopherectomy? Actually--do you know EXACTLY what was removed? Cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes? If your OVARIES were removed....sorry, it's not perimenopause you are going through (though could be more here)...but it is MENOPAUSE. Removal of the ovaries induces MENOPAUSE within minutes of their removal. YOU ARE IN MENOPAUSE....there is no IF about it! The if is....what else IS going on!Hot flashes are usually caused by the ratio of estrogen to progesterone. Doesn't really matter what the levels are....it is the gap between the two that is most determinant of hot flashes.

  • Hi there~ I have done tons of research and am about tired of trying to find out what is wrong. I have heard the word "psychosomatic illness" from my family doc and psychiatrist more than I want to mention- I am new here-- and I am not getting info in my e-mails to tell me when people have posted to my posts... What am I doing wrong? Thank you-misti:(

  • Misti...I just wrote to you...sometimes it takes a bit for them to show up in your e-mail.You aren't doing anything wrong. First of all....this disease is not "psychosomatic" IT IS PHYSIOLOGICAL....and causes some psychological disturbances. The NAET and Bioset is the best advice....do it...you will not regret it. The docs would like us all to believe that our problems are all "in our head" but how does your liver become swollen because you are depressed?...It makes no sense what so ever!! Hope you are feeling better soon....mommy cat

  • Mommy Cat is telling you that you have CFS/ME. Which is crap.I think that alot of your symptoms sound like menopause, however the swollen fingers and knees worryme.I would be concerned about these being reactions of either your menopause meds(they are the newest ones, correct?)or possibly high blood pressure. Get yout Blood Pressure checked and keep an eye on it.Don't stop any meds w/o you doc's permission, but bring that up to the doc and research your drugs.

  • Sigh... It is taking me a while to figure this posting out. lol.Ok-- Yes, I know very well what they removed during my hysterectomy. They took out my ovaries and tubes, uterus and cervix. I had endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I take Klonopin/Seroquel b/c I am Bipolar w/ Mixed Episodes. But after reading about M.E.--- I doubt this somewhat.I went to the hummingbird site and printed out every page, and I have snail mailed it to my psychiatrist. He also specializes in neurological disturbances. Very smart man. I trust him more than my family doctor and have seen him for almost eight years. As for this being or not being menopause--- my doctor told me that with some cases- menopause can be delayed for 6-7 months. Before this-- you have perimenopause. It has been 6-7 months since I had my surgery. My blood pressure i always low-- and for some reason I now have a sub-normal body temperature.I do not know what is causing the swelling-- of my fingers and toes... I used to be able to take Oxycodone for pain, but if I take it now--- it puts into a deep coma-like state. Hence- I take Alleve. My doctor, on Friday, -- ordered a Sed RateCOMPLETE thyroid study--- mine is always weird....CBCkidney functions... I can't remember anything else. Well, I am cooking green beans. I like to cook.I believe very strongly in the chance I may have this M.E.-- when I clean on Monday--- on Wednesday--- I am dying.OH well!Thank you for the advice, Mommy Cat. *hugs* vampyre_girl:(

  • I don't think ME/CFS sounds like crap. M.E. is listed in the Rare Disease site in that National Health Web Site. I am waiting to hear from the people at that Center now. I can't remember the exact name of this site-- but it was given to me by my family doctor. When I hear from them, I will tell you what they said. Well, I feel bad-- better clean before I crash. God Bless, vampyre_girl

  • HI Mommy Cat~ I have contacted the National Resource of Health and National Organization of rare diseases. They are sending me information today. The person at NORD-- said that CFS and ME are two different things. If my doctors don't believe me.... what do I do to help myself get better? I am hurting so bad, mommy cat--- and for some crazy reason, I keep getting anal fissures  (PAIN!!!!) and cannot take the pain meds I used to-- narcotics--b/c they put me into like a coma-like state. I don't know if I can do this- but you can e-mail me personally at_ sylvia_plaths_melancholia@yahoo.com IT's hard to believe that at one time I held a job. OH YEAH-- what is better for swollen and painful joints? a HOT bath or a COOL bath? Thank you~ vampyre_girl:( :( :(

  • Dear Mommy Cat- I will e-mail you where I live. I am having A LOT of cognitive problems--- can't remember words, can't do math anymore, can't tell you today what I did yesterday--- except watching "Slingblade." lol. I used to be an English teacher and graduated college Summa **m Laude, but I cannot read a single thing right now.... I haven't been able to for a long time. I just cannot understand what I am reading..... Then the joints started swelling about a week after I got a tetanus/whooping cough shot. I got scratched by some metal. SO......... I can't drive. Can't concentrate enough to-- then I have a panic attack in the car...... It's terrible. My family doc is so put off w/ me --- she won't even have her nurse return my calls... and she sent me a NASTY NASTY e-mail. Oh well, I do better in the mornings, so I better vacuum and take out the trash. Shalom. Misti;)

  • Dear Misti:None of your problems are 'psychiatric' nothing is bottled up in the head- however do not stop taking your meds. Try to go about asking your doctors about the future possibility of not taking it- but for now let us focus on the rest of the picture. When people are getting prescribed with those drugs for mood and other obscure 'psychiatric' diagnosis, they usually have overactive or unbalanced immune system and central nervous system sensibilities. The fact that your body was not able to regulate the productions of cysts or tumors in your reproductive system, means that many of the cells tend to degenerate and the immune system is not doing its job of giving them a timer for early death.Yes, that is how it works, when cells go bad, the immune system can send a messenger to give them a timer for early death- so a degenerated cell does not continue growing and reproducing. That procedure you went on with is not going to fix the problem because it did not deal with your real problem: your immune system is not doing its job. It is very underactive in ways, and very overactive in other ways. What's behind a disturbed immune system? Two things: deficiency of nutrients and toxicity.Deficiency of nutrients is a catch 22- Sometimes the same stress on the immune system give him the wrong commands and the immune system starts blocking your body from absorbing nutrients. No matter how much some people eat, they are rejecting the nutrients. You can call it malabsorbtion, food allergy, food intolerance, whatever.Toxicity :this is the other head of this two headed monster. Everything from infections like mycoplasma that no doctor wants to talk about, to heavy metal poisoning, mold, teflon, to pesticide and genetically modified food - there are volumes and volumes of info that no doctor is gonna ask you to read.I can give you a long list of suggestions- most of them credited to scientist Raymond Francis. *Avoid all processed food, white flour, soda.*Avoid genetically modified food.*Avoid all dairy because it contains way too many toxins ad you can't deal with it right now.*Avoid all sugar. The only sugar you should eat is fruit. No fruit juice. If you are eating fruits that are not organic- take the skin off and try to avoid fruits that absorp too much pesticide.*Increase your raw food intake- rinse the greens with white vinegar, lemon, salt, etc- make sure they are as clean as possible. You will need toxin free supplements for vitamins, minerals, Omegas, a prrobiotic. Read into Oil of Oregano caplets, Milk thistle, and Essiac Tea. *Stop using petrochemicals. Go as green as possible.*Avoid all lauryl sulfate products, glycols and all formaldehyde in your cosmetics.Once you take the load from your environment and you start flushing out toxins from your body- your inflammation rate and organ fatigue will go down. You still need NAET.Once you start this process and you do NAET and you start living a toxic free lifestyle, you will need about 7 or 8 months aprox. to find resolution of your symptoms.Start by reading "Never Be Sick Again" by Ray Francis. Also "Say Goodbye to Illness" by Devi Nambudripad. It would take me weeks to try to convey all this info. You better just read this 2 books.I have a lot more info- but very limited time to roganize it and try to deliever it in ways that makes sense. So those 2 books are really it.May God Bless.Frui.

  • OH YEAH-- what is better for swollen and painful joints? a HOT bath or a COOL bath? Thank you~ vampyre_girlIt depends, some people are intolerant to cold or heat- so there is no one answer to it. It is up to you. I strongly recommend baking soda, vinegar, bentonite clay, or dead sea salts in the bath water.Once you go for NAET, and you get tested for the basic nutrients, get yourself tested for Seratonine, Melatonine, Triptophan, Immune System Modulator vial, Brain vial, Vaccine vials, fiber/textile vial, formaldehyde, chemicals, parasites, bacteria, mycoplasma, lyme disease.Best.Frui.

  • hmmmm..... Okay- so because I had ovarian CYSTS and NOT tumors, I am going to die at a younger age? Well my 27 year old sister has many cysts and she eats just the way you said a person should. She and her husband go to these organic stores, take these odd-ball supplements... and she still has cysts. She exercises every day with her husband and should be the epitomy of health. They are virtually vegans. GUESS WHAT??? SHE IS JUST AS ILL AS I AM! I eat lean cuisines and lean pockets and Rice Krispies. I cannot afford all that other organic stuff. There is not even an organic store in my town. Now, maybe I shouldn't bring religion into this-- but I do think you can do some things to shorten your life --- like drinking alcohol in excess and smoking; however, when it is time for your card to be punched- no amount of milk thistle (which I tried-- I have a bottle of the pills and herbal tea)-- which did not help me one bit.... your time is up. I am going to get a Brita water pitcher and some fresh lemons.... but I am on disability---and I checked about some of these things.... and most sessions-- One place I called charged 180.00 for the first-- and 80.00 for every other session. :p FORGET THAT. I barely have enough money to purchase Cover Girl make-up! Anyway, I am not putting down the God you mentioned, but I have never heard of him/her...... and you may be able to do things to help you... but when your time is up, your time is up. Anyway, I am going to feed my cats and go back to bed. SHALOM~ vampyre_girl:mad:

Anyway, I am going to feed my cats and go back to bed. SHALOM~ vampyre_girl:mad:The food is to support and to avoid more toxins to debilitate the body. But changing diet and eating organic foods is not going to cure anyone. Actually Vegan and all Raw is not good either. The body needs meat, and wheat, and oils, and sugars- but when the body is sick it can't process the good stuff. That's the catch: if you are sick you die of starvation up all the way to your brain, no matter how much food you put in your mouth and how much you weight. The brain is not getting any nutrients- so as the sickness progresses the brain makes the person less and less rational.I believe that everybody needs to die and we all die for a reason, we all get sick for a reason, we can't cheat death. I agree that if you do stuff to harm your body that will kill you and you won't be able to reverse it when it is too late. But what about the person who is not told that his/her immune system was damaged by vaccines or infections and there is still time and a method to reverse the damage? I am not worried about dying- death will always find a way. But why being sick? How do you know you are really meant to stay sick if you don't try?Frui.

  • Hi~I was just making a point, that I cannot afford organic foods. Most grocery stores have a small organic section, but that stuff is so expensive, I can't get it.I have cut back on fat, because I am very sensitive to that. I had my gall bladder removed, but it still hurts in that general area. I had liver trouble after my hysterectomy. LOOOOONG story--- and while I am able to do some things this morning, I have to do a little vacuuming and take care of all of my cats. I have seven in the house-- and two outside. They have all been "fixed." Of course, my Mom paid for that... I wish I could show you my cats--- they bring me a great source of happiness. It is a lot of work though.Anyway, I guess I just felt like talking about my cats today.lol.Shalom-vampyre_girl
