I have been having persistent headaches, and as of a week ago I noticed a lump on the right side of my head, 7 or so inches up from the base of my neck. It feels to be about the size of a quarter or less. I don't want to touch it because it hurts unbelievably. I just saw a doctor who said it isn't a swollen gland. I've had no recent falls, although I've had headaches for the past few months in that same area - this could be a coincidence, I'm not sure. The pain is throbbing. My doctor isn't sure what is wrong. I'm also having neck pain and minor head pain on the right side near my ear. The doctor didn't think it was meningitis. She prescribed me Valium in case it is muscular related, but I don't think it is. I live a sedentary lifestyle. I'm also 19 years old. Any ideas as to what could be the cause of this?
Thanks to anyone who replies.
