I have had a lump come up just below my sternum. I went to the dr. and they say that my xyphoid process is protruding outward. Well he gave me anti inflammatory medications and said to come back in 6 weeks if it was not better. It did not get better so i went to another dr. she sent me for a ct scan that showed nothing. They are hesitant to do any other tests because of insurance. I have asked for a mri but no one will do it. i am going to a gastroenterologist in 3 weeks because the dr. says it might be a hiatial hernia. I feel the lump and it protrudes outward....can this be a hiatial hernia. i do have some pain in my chest that i can also feel toward my back. I am uncomfortable after eating. My medical history is rheumatoid arthritis and anemia.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
