For about 2 days now, today being the worse, I have had this ache in my right calf area, there is no bruising, no redness or swelling, and its not tender, the only time i feel the pain is when standing/walking and for a short while after sitting. Sometimes if I stretch just right I can feel the pain in my thigh and buttocks as well.....accompanying this is some slight light headedness....

My g/f just thinks I pulled a muscle and my light headedness is me getting over a chest cold i recently had where I was all stuffed up, could she be right? Am I over worrying or is this something i should be taking seriously?

btw im 23/m and average weight

  • Ache in a calf, that travels up and lightheadedness Hmmmmmm. Sounds as if you may need a little more time to see if it gets worse or if goes away on it's own. Other than that they'd check you for anything from something neurological to something dealing with nerve damage....any number of things... Very vague and difficult to say much on the symptoms you're describing. You've got to be very thorough to diagnos something and that isn't enough for someone to go on without testing and indepth research. A muscle-tendon-ligament pull will cause such discomfort and the associated pain can make someone feel lightheaded so you see, a bit ambigious Though make sure you seek medical attention if doesn't subside in a week or two at 23

  • you could be dehydrated..try hydrating and take packets of electrolites...see if that helps...could be vitamins/calcium thing going on...like you need to take some..it can be more serious but you could just need to drink some water..

  • Could be a Baker's cyst. Not to scare you too much, but these are also signs of deep vein thrombosis. I would have it checked out.

  • I have this too, right leg calf feels tight or swollen and there is pain if I walk on it. The light headedness feels like I'm going to faint one moment, the next moment it feels like a blood vessel is going to burst in my head.
