Last wednesday I started having real bad belly pain. The pain started right around my belly button. Then it started moving to the lower right quadrant of my belly near my right hip. After two days of severe pain I decided to go to the ER. They ran a urine sample as well as blood test, both came back normal. They also did a CT scan, it was normal except the ER doctor and the radiologist saw fluid around my colon. So they called the surgeon in, he did not see the fluid so he gave me a shot of tremidol and some pain meds. He chalked it up as a pulled muscle. I have yet to feel better, and I did not have a bowl movement for almost five days, I am constantly nausea and have lost 10 pounds since all this pain happened. Does anybody no what is wrong with me?

  • I'd go back to a doc and get a complete blood count to see if your WBC's are elevated. Also a blood culture. Appendicitis doesn't always come on quickly. Or, maybe you have a bowel obstruction. Are you a woman? There is an area called the cul-de-sac in the abdomen where fluid can collect. Also, did they check you for an ectopic pregnancy?

  • I would go get another opinion from a different surgeon...I would actually reccomend going to see a gstronologist and get them to look over the test cause it is weird for two doctors to see fluid and the other not he could have just made a mistake...which Dr.s often do ha ha are you still in any pain? what country do you live in....have you been on any vacations out of your country? Have you eaten anything different lately...what were you doing when the pain started? any changes in bowel movements...do you get pain during bowel movement?
