I have chronic hypokalemia (low potassium) and chronic anemia. After a double endoscopy, the surgeon found gastritis and pyloric erosion. I take aldosterone, potassium supplements, and 1500% iron suppliments per day. Could the hypokalemia be caused by the stomach problems, or could another problem be causing the symptoms?

  • You may have a problem called renal tubular acidosis or a rare problem called Fanconi syndrome.
