For the past three weeks, I've been experiencing a sporadic, loud heartbeat mostly when sitting down, but also when lying down. My heart rate per se is normal, but several times an hour, I will feel a very loud heartbeat, which usually makes me cough, and twice, it has awakened me at night. Here's the irony: about three weeks ago, I decided to cut back on caffeine so I started drinking herbal tea instead of "regular" tea. I stopped the herbal tea two days ago and my symptoms have disappeared. The only "weird" ingredients I could find in the herbal tea are roasted chicory and rose hips. Does any know if either of these ingredients could have caused my symptoms? I've googled both but cannot find anything conclusive. Thanks to anyone who can offer an explanation...Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
