I have lost the sense of taste and smell and it seemed to be after a case of the flu or a bad cold about 4 months ago. It has not returned and I am uninsured and concerned since I take care of my 2 baby grandchildren full time. I am unable to smell even vineger or even bleach. Can someone give me some ideas on what I can do?

  • You might have a lingering sinus infection...Press over your face and between your eyes to see if you are tender there. You could try rinsing up your nose with salt water, or, if you have a hand held shower wand, rinse your nose out when you bathe. This might bring out stuff.Otherwise, you probably need to see a doctor.
