Hi. My father has recently lost his taste which has been ongoing for the last 2 years or so. Recently in the last month, my father is now having difficulty with his speech. It is slurred and at times he simply can not make out any words whatsoever.
The loss of speech has was occurring a few times a week but now is coming to a few times a day. He has had several tests including cat scan, stroke, cancer etc. Tests came back negative.
I'm not sure if the taste and loss of speech is related. A few years the doctors thought my father a type of vasculitis but they could not diagnose and the symptons disappeared after a year or so.
Appreciate any feedback or comments anyone may have. Thanks very much.
