My mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer, couple weeks went by she started to feel worse. i took her to the hospital, there she recieved an IV, steroids and a blood transfusion. 1 day after she began to loose her balance, was tripping. 1 more day after she began to fall, her legs would give out on her. Now were to the point where she can not stand on her own, button up her shirt and grab things. She has had a CAT scan, MRI done on her cerebullem and brain. Everything there was o.k. Now Dr's are not sure as to what is going on. Any suggestions

  • It could be early MS too-should have shown on tests but needs to be re explored by a good neurologist. Good luck-I;ll say some prayers.

  • Hi Lisa,I am so sorry you are going through this difficult time with your mother. From what you've written here, I don't have any ideas, but I do have questions. So, I'll post them, and take a look at your answers later, and see if the helps bring anything to light. You write that she was given a transfusion and steroids, but I don't understand why she got those, and what they were intended to treat. Is she having any trouble thinking? Or only keeping upright? Does she have other symptoms? Fever? Headache? And how old is she? Does she have any other known medical problems? That is a lot of questions, but the more info you can give, the more likely that someone here will recognize something they can tell you to help.Best,Shula

  • Please do not listen to anything Shula or Acuann tell you. My sister just passed away because Shula and Acuann told her that her doctor was wrong and she did not have a serious condition. Acuann even told her to get acupuncture to get healed. These people are going to be investigated for practicing medicine without a license. Shula and Acuann are specifically wanted in connection with my sisters homocide. Thats right homocide. If she would have listened to her doctor instead of these internet quacks she would still be here today. Rest assured I will do everything in my power to put these two behind bars and shut this website down for good.

  • Hi Lisa,Thank you for writing back more info. I am still stumped. Do the doctors have any idea why her white blood count was up? And why did they give her steroids? Is she doing better or worse today? What are the doctors doing/planning on doing?Again, sorry for all questions and no answers...Shula

  • My step father had these spell where he shakes so bad he can't even dial the phone. The was admitted to the hospital and released the next day after the shaking quit. It may be 6 months before he has the next spell. When this happens he can not pick up a cup or glass with just one hand. He has to use both hands and the shaking get really bad. Today he is home and doing fine the shaking has stopped. No one seems to know the cause. Once he was driving all over the road when the spell hit him.
