My mom has MS. MS is similar to ALD (Lorenzo's disease.)
I found the 'recipe' for Lorenzo's oil
4 parts olive oil
1 part rapeseed oil (international food stores.)
Myelin in MS folks is attacked the 'fatty' lining of the nerve cells. No one really knows why and lots of theories.
In Lorenzo's case (ALD) his myelin was also attacked by bad fat.
bad fat is neutralized by oleic and erucid oils
Neutralizes bad fat keeps from attacking myelin fat!
By The Way, I tried it, thinking it might help my husband's high cholesterol. Great for high cholesterol. My doc. said and made a point of really showing how my cholesterol had dropped, to 'keep on doing' what you're doing! Just A Side Note.
They are trying cholesterol drugs on folks with MS, but I bet this is a better idea!
Anyway, I made lots of Lorenzo oil for my Mom!
Her hands shake less and she seems to have more stamina. My opinion.
I really believe, folks, if you have any muscle weakness, in my opinion (I'm not a doctor) that Lorenzo's oil is something that you should make and take daily. Lorenzo took 3 tablespoons daily, so I'm not certain how much an adult should take and it's great in salads!
