Hi, I've been living with anxiety for a long time in my life. I'm 25 and currently in a foreign country. I've recently had a bout of bad symptoms. Bad enough that I have opted to leave my job here and go back to my home country and try to find out what is wrong. But any light shed here would be much appreciated.

I'm 25, male, about 187cm tall and 68kgs.

I'm experiencing the following:
Uncomfortable breathing. (not difficult, feels like sometimes i'm not breathing)
lightheadedness
tingling(pins and needles) in left arm, occasionally left leg too.
pressure in ears
passing a lot of gas
fatigue
will occasionally feel stupid. like i lose intelligence. (eg, i lose command of the english language and my thoughts diminish in simple IQ. I woke up before and it took a good 30 secs to a minute to think clearly. If that makes sense) - This symptom really worries me.....
panic attacks
uncomfortableness in area at base of ribcage
vomiting phlegm.

I thank you in advance for your replies.

  • I am no doctor, nor do I carry any medical certificate4 what so ever but what I do have is anxiety panic disorder and your symtoms are just like what I go through on a daily basis. What I can say is that without family and friends and being in a familar area I would not beable to do it! I have issues enough leaving my country and the next country is only a 3 minute walk, lol! I just wont do it! Anyways look up and if you do decide to go back home im sure your symptoms will diminish almost completley! Good Luck and stay strong! • OP (Original Poster) here. I was diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder when I was about 16 where I do recall very similar symptoms. It was a very troubled and bad part of my life I am glad that is behind me. I'm trying hard to not have a repeat. I think going home will do nothing but good for me and I can see my family GP about everything immediately. I'll also add a few symptoms and known problems just to make things a little clearer for someone who knows a little more for me.I have got rather bad sinuses which leads to headaches and causing god knows which, if not all, symptoms of just feeling generally bad and 'floaty' in the head. The gas I am passing is very mainly in the form of belching. This has only really started in the past month or so.With the pins and needles in the left arm. I do admit I get paranoid of an impending heart attack (which definitely isnt helping stress levels) but i have full range of movement. It just feels numbish. My loss of intelligence is not only when i wake up. I haven't felt up to my usual level of intelligence in a while. However, sometimes it just feels like I lose like 40IQ points all at once and it takes time to recover.

  • the only area of ur situation i am gonna b able offer a suggestion to is the anxiety thing..its worth a shot but its worked for me as well as others who i know that experience anxiety type symptoms...go with chewable baby aspirins...chew about 4 of them which is the amount that always seems to do it for me. not sure what the safest amount u can take in any time frame or whatnot but give it a try n ya might be suprised how effective chewable baby aspirin effects an anxiety attack. i'd a never thought of trying it muchless thought it would do anything but it does and seems to do it time and time again. i wish ya well..what ya got to lose?Hi, I've been living with anxiety for a long time in my life.
