I have had a pain in my right ear for several years now. I do grind my teeth in my sleep and my doctor said the ear pain is from the teeth grinding. I used a cell phone for many years and have heard of a tumor that has developed in people's ears after long term cell phone use. I did have extensive bloodwork done and everything came back normal. My friend told me that a benign tumor wouldn't have shown up in the bloodwork and I should get a CT Scan of my ear. Is he right? I've been upset about it for a while and would like to rule out the fact that I don't have a tumor.

  • I suffered severe ear pain and grinding teeth for years... was diagnosed with a dairy intolerance and after eliminating this from my diet three years ago the symptoms disappeared immediately!!!Many people with a dairy intolerance also have a yeast intolerance. Pay attention to a phlegmy throat up to half an hour after consuming these products (and often lethargy)... this is a sure sign of a dairy or yeast intolerance.Good luck!

  • I agree with unregistered. I used to have chronic ear infections until I gave up wheat and dairy and then I had chronic sinusitus and found that eggs were the culprits. Since giving up all these foods I feel a lot better.Because the ears and sinuses are part of the same system, the ears are affected by colds and congestion. Try going off all these foods and see if your symptoms don't improve. I wish my mother had been aware of these things earlier in her life. She too had problems with her ears and sinuses, but now she is deaf and I think it is because of these foods. My current boyfriend just had ear surgery and he thinks it was because of yeast. He told me it is also possible to get tuberculosis in the ears. I don't know what the symptoms of that are, but if you haven't had your ears checked out, it would be a good idea. You could have polyps (which I suspect might be a result of congestive foods or yeast or allergies to the above).
